KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support production in a mixed model assembly environment
- Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes to meet cost, quality, and capacity requirements
- Specify, procure, validate and implement tools and fixtures. Prepare requests for capital funds
- Provide plant expertise in tool selection and error proofing
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve operations
- Lead continuous improvement teams with representatives from manufacturing, product engineering, procurement, and supplier quality
- Apply DMAIC methodology to execute data driven root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
- Work closely with team leads and technicians to resolve problems
- Improves labor utilization by conducting and studying the time study and throughput data.
- Maintain standard work instructions and labor standards
- Implement engineering change notices and manufacturing change notices
- Achieve manufacturing engineering milestones from New Product Development programs
REQUIRED
- BSME, BSIE or other technical 4-year degree and 1-2 years relevant work experience
- Understanding of DMAIC methodology and desire to attain certification
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo PTC
- Must be willing to travel to other BRP locations in the Greater Lansing Area
- Team player with excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Proficient in planning, organizing, and executing
- Ability to write reports and procedure manuals
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities

- Willingness to travel to other BRP locations nationwide
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or higher
- 3+ year of experience in logistics operations
- 3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experience
- Proven record processing shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements
- Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable
